Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level server infrastructure across 15+ state agencies
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments and incident response protocols
- Optimize cloud environments (AWS/Azure) for scalability and cost-efficiency
- Develop automation solutions using PowerShell/Python for routine system maintenance
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
- Mentor junior administrators and document technical procedures
- Collaborate with state procurement teams for hardware/software acquisitions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering Windows Server and Linux environments
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent
- Advanced experience with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP enterprise solutions
- Proven expertise in virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting capabilities (PowerShell/Python/Bash)
- Experience with federal/state compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
