Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure using Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Oversee network architecture, including firewalls, VPNs, and switch configurations, ensuring high availability and security.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, FISMA, etc.) to protect sensitive government data.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for complex hardware and software issues across the organization.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance tuning, and capacity planning to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to manage software licenses and hardware upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Active certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Identity Management solutions.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
