Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and support the organization's local and wide-area networks, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software systems for government employees across multiple departments.
- Implement and enforce network security protocols and compliance standards to protect sensitive government data.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform preventive maintenance to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Provide technical support and training to staff regarding new system updates and security best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable IT solutions that meet agency objectives.
- Document all system configurations, changes, and incident reports for compliance and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if applicable).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
