Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local and wide-area network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
- Manage server lifecycle, including deployment, patching, and troubleshooting of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Monitor system performance and capacity to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users.
- Enforce information security protocols and compliance standards in alignment with federal and state regulations.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and end-users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize IT workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong technical proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and security best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced government environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance.
