Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain complex network infrastructure (LAN/WAN) for the city government.
- Implement and enforce strict cybersecurity protocols and disaster recovery plans.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and server systems.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and streamline operations.
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct training sessions on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or MCSA are highly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
