Responsibilities
- Lead System Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and infrastructure to support county operations.
- Database Management: Oversee database design, optimization, and security protocols to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for staff across various departments.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage access controls.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects from conception through deployment, managing timelines and stakeholder expectations.
- Vendor Liaison: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure service level agreements are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, network administration, or IT support.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Active Directory, Windows Server, and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Public Service: Demonstrated commitment to public service and working within a government environment.
