Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive needs analysis to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex IT systems, databases, and network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentoring for junior analysts and department staff.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee system upgrades and maintenance contracts.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system architecture and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant county, state, and federal IT standards and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Systems Analysis, IT Architecture, or Software Development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, and at least one major relational database management system (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Proven experience in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License (as a condition of employment).
- Experience with government public sector IT environments is a significant plus.
