As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the planning, development, and management of our information systems. You will work closely with city departments to streamline operations and enhance service delivery through technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the City's network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across various government departments.
- Monitor system performance and security, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage server hardware and software, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime for critical services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technical requirements and develop scalable IT solutions.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on new software and security protocols.
- Document technical processes and maintain comprehensive system logs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems analysis, network administration, or a related role within the public sector or large enterprise.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware components, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory background check.
