Role Overview:
The Senior IT Systems Analyst will oversee critical IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while optimizing system performance. You will act as a bridge between technical teams and city departments, translating complex data needs into actionable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the city's core enterprise systems, ensuring 99.9% uptime for government services.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement security protocols compliant with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable software solutions for municipal departments.
- Perform advanced data analysis to drive policy decisions and improve public service delivery.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues and mentor junior analysts on best practices.
- Ensure all IT documentation is current, accurate, and accessible to stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware and software procurement to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems analysis within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and scripting languages (PowerShell/Bash).
- Deep knowledge of ITIL framework, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with diverse city staff and officials.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or PMP are a strong plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict adherence to compliance and confidentiality.
