Responsibilities
- Analyze complex system requirements and design scalable IT solutions for city departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and policy makers, to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Maintain and optimize legacy government databases while implementing cloud-based infrastructure.
- Ensure full compliance with federal and state data privacy regulations, including FISMA standards.
- Conduct system performance tuning, security audits, and risk assessments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and support staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems analysis within the public sector or a comparable technical environment.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Deep understanding of SQL, data warehousing, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
