Responsibilities
- Analyze complex municipal data and trends to inform policy recommendations
- Develop and evaluate draft policies across housing, transportation, and economic development
- Coordinate interdepartmental stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for City Council and senior leadership
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and assess local impact
- Lead cross-functional project teams on priority initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, ArcGIS)
- Proven track record of developing actionable policy frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and public speaking abilities
- Knowledge of North Carolina municipal governance structures
