Responsibilities
- Analyze complex agricultural legislation and draft policy recommendations for state leadership
- Coordinate with federal agencies, stakeholders, and legislative committees on regulatory compliance
- Conduct economic impact assessments for proposed agricultural programs
- Develop public-facing reports and presentations communicating policy implications
- Lead interdepartmental task forces addressing emerging agricultural challenges
- Oversee implementation of federal Farm Bill programs at state level
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Agriculture, or related field (5+ years experience may substitute)
- Minimum 3 years government or policy analysis experience
- Expertise in Texas agricultural systems and rural economics
- Proficient in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- US citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
