Responsibilities
- Develop and implement county-wide policy frameworks aligned with strategic initiatives
- Analyze complex datasets to identify emerging trends and recommend actionable solutions
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community groups, elected officials, and department heads
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for the County Board
- Oversee cross-functional project teams to ensure policy implementation success
- Monitor federal and state legislative changes affecting county operations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, Python)
- Demonstrated success in developing equity-focused policy frameworks
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing government budgets and grant-funded projects
- Valid Illinois driver's license
