Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues (housing, economic development, equity) using quantitative/qualitative methods
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations for mayoral leadership and city council
- Lead cross-functional stakeholder engagement with community groups, agencies, and nonprofits
- Monitor federal legislation/regulations and assess local impact implications
- Present findings through executive briefings, public testimony, and written reports
- Manage policy implementation evaluation frameworks and KPI tracking
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, Python) and qualitative research methods
- Proven success developing policy recommendations adopted by senior leadership
- Deep knowledge of DC government structure and legislative processes
- Exceptional written/verbal communication with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Project management certification or equivalent experience
