Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health strategies for diverse Albuquerque communities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and recommend policy interventions
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to coordinate emergency response protocols
- Manage grant-funded programs totaling $2M+ annual budget for health initiatives
- Present findings to city council and community stakeholders through compelling data visualizations
- Oversee compliance with federal/state health regulations and reporting requirements
- Mentor junior staff and lead community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in government/public health administration
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping
- Valid New Mexico Public Health Professional certification
- Demonstrated success in managing federal/state grant programs
- Experience developing health equity initiatives for underserved populations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA, CDC, and NMDOH regulations
