Responsibilities
- Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify emerging health trends and prioritize intervention strategies
- Develop and evaluate public health programs targeting chronic disease prevention and health equity
- Collaborate with community partners to design culturally responsive outreach initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive grant proposals and reports for federal/state funding opportunities
- Lead interdepartmental committees to align public health initiatives with county strategic goals
- Present findings to policymakers and community stakeholders using data visualization tools
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field with 3+ years of experience
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, SAS, R) and GIS mapping tools
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and program evaluation
- Strong knowledge of public health frameworks and health equity principles
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical data for diverse audiences
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and ability to travel to county facilities
- Experience working with multicultural populations preferred
