Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and develop intervention strategies
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to design targeted health education campaigns
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for state legislative committees
- Manage grant-funded health improvement programs with multi-agency coordination
- Monitor compliance with state health regulations and recommend policy adjustments
- Lead cross-functional teams during public health emergency responses
- Utilize GIS mapping tools to visualize health disparities across San Diego County
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in governmental or non-profit health sector
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- PHR or CPH certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience with public health grant management
- Knowledge of California Health and Safety Code requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
