Responsibilities
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health disparities and inform policy recommendations
- Develop evidence-based health policies in collaboration with community stakeholders
- Prepare legislative reports and testimony for County Board of Supervisors
- Oversee implementation of federal/state grant-funded health initiatives
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on emergency preparedness
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed public health interventions
- Mentor junior analysts on research methodology and policy development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government/public health policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing equity-focused health policies
- Experience with federal grant writing (HRSA, CDC, SAMHSA)
- Valid California driver's license
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
