Responsibilities
- Design and oversee municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with Caltrans standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols
- Manage project budgets exceeding $5M with rigorous fiscal oversight
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure development
- Prepare technical documentation, permits, and regulatory compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public works or transportation engineering
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS mapping systems
- Demonstrated project management with complex municipal projects
- Strong analytical skills for infrastructure assessment and planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
