Responsibilities
- Assist in developing transportation plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software
- Conduct field surveys and inspections for highway/railway infrastructure
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and permit applications
- Analyze traffic data and recommend operational improvements
- Coordinate with contractors, local agencies, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT standards and federal regulations
- Support environmental review processes and mitigation documentation
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 2+ years of experience in transportation engineering or surveying
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS platforms
- Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Knowledge of MUTCD standards and TxDOT design manuals
- Ability to obtain EIT certification within 12 months
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with traffic modeling software (e.g., Synchro, Vistro)
