Responsibilities
- Oversee design and construction of highway/bridge projects ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations
- Conduct traffic studies and impact analyses for urban infrastructure developments
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation systems
- Coordinate with city agencies, contractors, and stakeholders on project deliverables
- Manage environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives for transportation projects
- Lead technical reviews of engineering plans and construction documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of transportation engineering experience with Caltrans or equivalent
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and traffic modeling software
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD, Caltrans standards, and federal highway regulations
- Proven project management experience for infrastructure projects >$10M
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
