Responsibilities
- Design and oversee complex highway/interstate improvement projects in Austin metro area
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and state agencies
- Ensure compliance with federal/state transportation regulations (TxDOT/FHWA)
- Conduct traffic impact studies and congestion mitigation analysis
- Manage project budgets exceeding $10M with strict adherence to timelines
- Mentor junior engineers and implement innovative smart-city transit solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (PE license required)
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience with state/federal projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and traffic modeling software
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT design standards and procurement processes
- Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure on urgent infrastructure initiatives
