Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software applications using modern frameworks and languages (Java, .NET, or Python).
- Lead architectural decisions and code reviews to ensure system scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and state agency stakeholders.
- Identify technical debt and implement refactoring strategies to maintain legacy system integrity.
- Ensure full compliance with state security standards, data privacy regulations, and IT governance policies.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct technical training sessions to foster a culture of innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience in a corporate or government environment.
- Proficiency in backend development, cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance purposes.
