Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and RESTful APIs using modern frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product managers, and UI/UX designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, perform root cause analysis, and implement best practices for software quality assurance and security.
- Ensure all software solutions comply with federal, state, and local security standards and accessibility regulations (WCAG).
- Lead technical planning sessions and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Migrate legacy systems to cloud-based architectures to improve system efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably in a public sector or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
- Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and ORM technologies like Entity Framework.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and version control systems (Git).
- Ability to obtain a Washington State background check and meet specific security clearance requirements.
