Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage complex network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Oversee cloud migration projects using Azure and AWS, ensuring compliance with state security protocols.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement and enforce security policies and disaster recovery procedures to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular system audits and provide technical guidance to junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering within the public sector or enterprise environment.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security standards, TCP/IP, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
