Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of server infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical government services.
- Implement and manage security protocols to comply with federal and state data privacy regulations (FISMA, HIPAA).
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, and permissions for over 5,000 state employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable IT solutions for new agency initiatives.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
