Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure Windows/Linux server environments across 50+ state agencies
- Lead cybersecurity incident response protocols and vulnerability management initiatives
- Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and hybrid system integrations
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell/Python to reduce operational overhead
- Provide Tier-3 support for critical state applications during after-hours on-call rotations
- Document system architectures and compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Mentor junior IT staff and conduct quarterly system health audits
Qualifications
- 5+ years in enterprise system administration with 3+ years in government/public sector
- Expertise in Active Directory, VMWare, and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Experience with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, HIPAA)
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance within 30 days
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
