Job Description
We are urgently hiring a skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join the State of Massachusetts. This is a critical role supporting the Executive Office of Technology Services (EOTSS) and ensuring the stability of core state government infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies. You will work in a collaborative environment dedicated to digital transformation and public service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Implement and troubleshoot complex Active Directory environments and Group Policy objects.
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and proactively resolve hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications and updates.
- Ensure compliance with state security policies and disaster recovery protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Active Directory.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or CompTIA Server+ are preferred.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
