Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex server infrastructure, including virtualization environments and cloud services.
- Execute and monitor critical system maintenance windows during assigned weekend shifts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure 99.9% system uptime.
- Implement and enforce data security protocols and compliance standards in accordance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize IT processes and improve system performance.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports accurately.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Proven experience working in a weekend shift or rotating shift environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices.
- Ability to obtain a state-mandated background check and security clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
