Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for government systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications that support state and local government operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy makers and IT staff, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct system performance testing, implement necessary improvements, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure all software solutions comply with federal and state regulations.
- Document technical processes and provide training to end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# and database management systems (SQL).
- Strong understanding of government compliance standards, including FOIA and local ordinances.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
