The Role
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. You will work on critical infrastructure projects, ensuring system integrity, data security, and optimal performance for state agencies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex system requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and architectural designs.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in enterprise systems.
- Ensure all system implementations comply with state regulations, security protocols, and data privacy laws.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes and coding standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# and database systems like SQL and Oracle.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience working within a government or large enterprise environment is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
