Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Conduct field surveys and inspections of transportation infrastructure
- Analyze traffic data and recommend design improvements
- Coordinate with contractors and local government agencies
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT standards and federal regulations
- Support project planning and cost estimation initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 3+ years of transportation engineering experience
- TxDOT Technician Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software
- Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with TxDOT design standards and procedures
