Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for urban and suburban corridors
- Analyze traffic patterns, transit usage, and multimodal infrastructure needs
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and compliance documents
- Manage capital improvement projects with $5M+ budgets
- Lead public engagement initiatives and stakeholder workshops
- Utilize GIS software and traffic modeling tools for scenario analysis
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for grant compliance
- Mentor junior planners and supervise project teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public sector transportation planning
- Professional AICP or PE certification required
- Advanced proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling software
- Demonstrated experience with NEPA documentation and permitting
- Strong project management skills with multi-million dollar budgets
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
