Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans aligned with Seattle's Climate Action Strategy
- Analyze traffic data and transit patterns to optimize multi-modal infrastructure
- Lead community outreach initiatives to gather stakeholder input for transportation projects
- Prepare technical reports and policy recommendations for city council review
- Collaborate with engineering teams on capital improvement projects
- Monitor federal/state grant compliance for transportation funding
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in transportation planning or public works
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling tools
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Experience with NEPA compliance and environmental documentation
- Demonstrated project management skills with $1M+ budgets
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
