Responsibilities
- Lead multi-modal transportation planning studies and corridor improvement projects
- Analyze traffic patterns, demographic data, and environmental impacts for infrastructure decisions
- Develop long-range transportation plans aligned with state and federal regulations
- Coordinate with local governments, tribal nations, and community stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports, grant applications, and policy recommendations
- Mentor junior planners and oversee project deliverables
- Utilize GIS software and transportation modeling tools for scenario analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience with public agency
- Expertise in NEPA/SEPA compliance and environmental documentation
- Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS) and transportation modeling software (TransCAD, Cube)
- Demonstrated experience with public outreach and community engagement
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and report writing
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
- Master's degree preferred for senior positions
