Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans for urban and rural areas in North Texas
- Analyze traffic data and project impacts using GIS and modeling software
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on transportation policy initiatives
- Prepare funding applications and grant proposals for infrastructure projects
- Lead public engagement sessions and stakeholder workshops
- Review and recommend approval for development-related transportation plans
- Generate technical reports and presentations for executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive transportation planning experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) or AICP certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS), traffic modeling (TransCAD), and data analysis tools
- Demonstrated experience with federal transportation funding programs (e.g., FAST Act)
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record
