Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans and environmental impact reports for major infrastructure projects
- Analyze traffic patterns, demographic data, and land-use studies to identify mobility solutions
- Coordinate with local agencies, tribal governments, and community organizations on public outreach initiatives
- Prepare grant applications and secure federal/state funding for transportation improvements
- Utilize GIS software to map infrastructure networks and model traffic scenarios
- Present findings to policymakers and the public through technical reports and public hearings
- Monitor project compliance with federal/state regulations and sustainability standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in transportation planning or civil engineering
- Proficiency in GIS applications (ArcGIS preferred) and transportation modeling software
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Demonstrated experience with NEPA/CEQA documentation processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets
- Excellent written communication skills for technical reports and public presentations
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
