Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans for Seattle metropolitan area infrastructure projects
- Analyze traffic patterns and environmental impact using GIS and modeling software
- Coordinate with city officials and community stakeholders on public outreach initiatives
- Manage project budgets and timelines for multimodal transportation systems
- Prepare technical reports and policy recommendations for legislative review
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, urban designers, and environmental specialists
- Ensure compliance with federal/state transportation regulations and sustainability standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience with government agencies
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, and transportation modeling software
- Proven project management with budgets exceeding $10M
- Strong understanding of Washington State transportation codes (WAC 468)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for public presentations
- Professional certification (AICP, PTOE) preferred
- Valid Washington State driver's license
