Responsibilities
- Lead complex transportation planning initiatives including multimodal corridor studies and transit integration projects
- Develop comprehensive environmental impact documents (EIR/EIS) complying with CEQA and NEPA regulations
- Analyze traffic data and socioeconomic trends to inform infrastructure investment decisions
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on transportation policy and funding opportunities
- Manage stakeholder engagement processes with community groups, elected officials, and industry partners
- Oversee project budgets and deliverables for multimodal transportation improvements
- Utilize GIS and modeling software to visualize transportation scenarios and impacts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of transportation planning experience with government/public sector
- Professional Planner (AICP) or Engineer (PE) license required
- Expertise in transportation modeling software (TransCAD, Vistro) and GIS platforms
- Demonstrated success leading complex environmental review processes
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with proficiency in statistical analysis tools
- Experience managing multimodal transportation projects (transit, active transportation, freight)
- Knowledge of California transportation funding programs and policy frameworks
