Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive zoning ordinances and land use policies
- Lead community engagement sessions for major redevelopment projects
- Analyze demographic and economic data to inform planning decisions
- Collaborate with engineering and environmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Prepare grant applications and manage federal/state funding allocations
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for commercial developments
- Oversee compliance with local, state, and federal planning regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive planning experience in municipal government
- Valid AICP certification from American Institute of Certified Planners
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and planning databases
- Demonstrated success in community outreach and stakeholder management
- Strong analytical skills with complex regulatory frameworks
- Kentucky driver's license with clean driving record
