Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans aligned with regional growth goals
- Analyze traffic patterns and infrastructure needs using GIS and statistical modeling
- Coordinate with city, state, and federal agencies on multimodal projects
- Prepare grant applications and manage federal/state funding compliance
- Lead public engagement sessions and stakeholder workshops
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and NEPA documentation
- Mentor junior planners and oversee project deliverables
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience in government/municipal setting
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS), traffic modeling (TransCAD), and data visualization
- Proven grant-writing success with federal/state transportation funds
- Texas PE license or AICP certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of Texas transportation regulations and funding programs
- Excellent communication skills with diverse community groups
