Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation master plans aligned with city and state priorities
- Analyze land-use patterns and demographic data to inform infrastructure investments
- Lead community engagement initiatives for major highway and transit projects
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on project implementation
- Manage capital improvement budgets exceeding $50M annually
- Mentor junior planners and oversee technical review processes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in transportation planning or public infrastructure
- Professional Planner (AICP) or Engineer (PE) certification required
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and transportation modeling tools
- Demonstrated experience with NEPA documentation and environmental reviews
- Strong understanding of federal/state grant programs (e.g., TIGER, FAST)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for public presentations
