Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation corridor studies using GIS and traffic modeling software
- Lead public engagement initiatives for major highway and transit expansion projects
- Analyze multimodal transportation data to optimize infrastructure investments
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and NEPA documentation
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on regional transportation planning
- Mentor junior planners and manage project deliverables within budget constraints
- Present findings to executive leadership and legislative committees
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in transportation planning or civil engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, Synchro, and traffic simulation software
- Demonstrated success leading public infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of federal transportation funding programs (FAST Act, etc.)
- Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to present complex data
- Texas driver's license with clean record
