Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans and corridor studies for urban and rural areas
- Analyze traffic data and demographic trends to forecast infrastructure needs
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on transportation initiatives
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and compliance documentation
- Manage multimodal transportation projects including transit, pedestrian, and bicycle infrastructure
- Present findings to stakeholders and public officials
- Maintain compliance with federal and state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and transportation modeling tools
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with NEPA documentation and environmental reviews
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of TxDOT policies and federal transportation regulations
