Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive transportation planning studies for urban and rural corridors
- Analyze traffic data, land use patterns, and demographic trends to inform infrastructure decisions
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and NEPA documentation
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies on transportation initiatives
- Manage project budgets and timelines for multimodal transportation projects
- Present findings to stakeholders through technical reports and public forums
- Supervise junior planners and coordinate with engineering teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in transportation planning or civil engineering
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling tools (TransCAD)
- Demonstrated experience with federal transportation funding programs
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
