Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive city plans aligning with Cleveland's strategic vision
- Analyze zoning regulations and recommend policy reforms to support equitable development
- Lead community engagement initiatives to gather stakeholder input on planning projects
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and feasibility studies for major developments
- Oversee land use projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with engineering and public works departments on infrastructure integration
- Present planning recommendations to city council and community boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive urban planning experience in government or public sector
- Ohio Certified Planner (AICP) credential required
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and urban modeling tools
- Demonstrated success in community engagement and public speaking
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and regulations
- Valid Ohio driver's license
