Responsibilities
- Lead complex urban planning projects including zoning code revisions and corridor studies
- Analyze demographic, economic, and environmental data to inform policy recommendations
- Facilitate public engagement sessions and stakeholder collaboration
- Prepare comprehensive reports, zoning ordinances, and land use regulations
- Coordinate with engineering, transportation, and parks departments
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and local ordinances
- Mentor junior planning staff and oversee project timelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive urban planning experience in municipal/government settings
- Texas AICP certification required
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and CAD
- Demonstrated experience with community engagement strategies
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Texas driver's license
