Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive neighborhood revitalization projects and land use planning initiatives
- Develop and recommend zoning code amendments to align with city's Vision 2035 plan
- Analyze demographic, economic, and environmental data for policy recommendations
- Facilitate public engagement sessions and stakeholder collaboration workshops
- Prepare technical reports, environmental assessments, and development proposals
- Coordinate with city agencies on infrastructure investments and public space design
- Manage planning projects from conception through implementation phases
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive urban planning experience in municipal government
- Expertise in zoning code interpretation and land use regulations
- Proficiency in GIS software and urban planning analytics tools
- Strong public speaking and community engagement abilities
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (PMPC)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
