Responsibilities
- Lead environmental impact assessments and CEQA compliance reviews
- Develop and update general plans and zoning ordinances
- Coordinate with transportation and public works departments
- Manage public outreach and community engagement initiatives
- Analyze demographic and economic development trends
- Prepare comprehensive reports for Board of Supervisors presentations
- Mentor junior planning staff and interns
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of urban planning experience in government sector
- California AICP certification required
- Expertise in CEQA/NEPA regulatory frameworks
- Advanced GIS and spatial analysis proficiency
- Strong public speaking and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of LA County's General Plan and Zoning Code
