Responsibilities
- Architect and develop responsive web applications using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers to maintain high standards of software engineering and security.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to drive product improvements and ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1).
- Optimize web performance, ensuring fast load times and seamless cross-browser compatibility.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and UI/UX designers to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain and refactor legacy systems to improve efficiency, security, and user experience.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful API integrations.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (SQL/NoSQL) and version control (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume government environment.
- Knowledge of state government compliance standards and security protocols is a plus.
